Social connection is vital for individuals' and communities' wellbeing, resilience, and empowerment. Both councils and community organisations play a crucial role in fostering these connections. However, our research highlights a common challenge: departments within organisations often operate in silos, and at times, the actions of one department can inadvertently hinder the efforts of another aiming to connect people.
This resource provides a guide with infographics, to help organisations think about the roles of different departments in creating a cohesive, cost-effective strategy for fostering social connection within communities.
